Questions people ask before they call
If yours isn't here, ask. There's no such thing as a silly question about a will.
What does a first meeting cost?
We'll tell you when you call. Either way, you'll get a written quote for the work itself before anything is drafted.
Do you charge by the hour?
Planning is quoted as one fee for the documents agreed. Probate and guardianship depend on the court and the estate; we explain how they're billed at the start, in writing.
Can you come to my parent's home or care facility?
Yes. Many first meetings and most signings for older clients happen at home or in care.
Can we meet by video?
Yes, for first meetings and reviews. Signing usually needs witnesses in the room, and we arrange that.
My parents live outside Milwaukee. Can you help?
Often, if they live in the state. If not, we'll say so and suggest how to find a lawyer where they are.
What should I bring to the first meeting?
A rough list of what you own and how it's titled, any old will or trust, and the names of the people you'd put in charge.
Is a will from the internet good enough?
Sometimes. Bring it in, and we'll tell you honestly if it does what you think it does.
Who sees my information?
Only Antonia and the staff who help her. Please don't send confidential details through the website form; we'll ask for them once we've agreed to work together.
Do you work with special needs trusts?
Yes. A trust can leave money to someone with a disability without affecting their benefits, if it's written carefully.
What happens to my documents after I sign?
You keep the originals in a binder, and we keep copies. We'll tell your executor where to find them, if you'd like.
