Antonia Szymanski
Attorney, estate and elder law
I started this practice to be the lawyer families can call twice: once to plan, and again when the plan is needed.
Before opening this practice I spent years drafting plans at a larger firm, and too many of them came back to me unread. Now I write shorter documents, explain them out loud, and meet people where they are: in the office on Prospect Avenue, at a kitchen table, or in a care home.
My own grandmother's estate took two years to settle because nothing was written down. I think about that family dinner table often, and it's why I spend the first meeting listening.
